  1. Installing the Printer Software
  2.  
  3. Refer to the QuickDraw GX Printer Software Installation Instruction sheet or
  4. follow these steps to install the printer software:
  5.  
  6. 1. Make a copy of the Installation disk. (Refer to your Macintosh user窶冱
  7.     guide for instructions on making copies of disks).
  8.  
  9. 2. Make sure you have at least 5 MB of free hard disk space available.
  10.  
  11. 3. Restart your computer while holding down the Shift key.
  12.      This turns off any system extensions that might cause
  13.      conflicts during the installation process.
  14.  
  15. 4. Insert the driver Installation disk and double-click the
  16.      Installer icon.
  17.  
  18. 5. Click the "Continue" button.
  19.  
  20. 6. Read the licensing agreement and click "Accept" to continue or "Cancel"
  21.      to quit the installation.
  22.  
  23. 7. Make sure that the hard disk named on the Installer screen is the one on 
  24.     which you want to install the printer software. If the wrong hard disk is named,
  25.     click the "Switch Disk" button until the correct hard disk name appears.

  27. 8. Click the "Install" button to install the selected printer software.
  28.  
  29. 9. The Installer displays a reminder message to create a desktop printer. 
  30.     Click the "Continue" button. When the installation process is complete, 
  31.     the Installer displays a message indicating the installation was successful. 
  32.  
  33. 10. Click the "Restart" button to restart your computer. You must restart your
  34.        computer before you can create your desktop printer and use any of the
  35.        software that you have just installed.
